
This course will enable you to develop an understanding of digital marketing and social media. You will work on a number of live projects developing your skillset with contemporary social media and digital marketing techniques. This course is for anyone looking to develop a practical skillset with social media through an intensive training programme. You may be seeking employment, further education or to use these skills for self employment or your business/charity.
Units delivered as part of this course are focused towards social media and digital marketing and include elements of web design, online security, content creation for social media and SEO. You will cover a total of 5 units in an intensive training course that will enable you to develop an understanding of the uses of social media and develop practical skills with creating and publishing websites, creating content for social media with text, image, audio and video and internet broadcasting such as live streaming or making webinars.
To achieve on this course, you will need to complete a series of assignments and practical tasks throughout.
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Entry is by tutor approval only. Students should have a good knowledge of ICT systems and/or already work within a related role or industry. Having some prior experience of IT would be useful. Learners will need a good standard of literacy and numeracy prior to considering this course. You will need a minimum of Level 1 in both due to the written nature of some of the assignments.
If you are new to the college, you may be advised to first enrol on an alternative course before committing to a qualification. This is to help fully assess both your commitment and your motivation to complete an accredited course whereby the completion of coursework is required.
