
Do you want to boost your confidence and wellbeing? This beginners drama course combines acting, movement, voice, and speech to help you do just that. It's a practical course with some basic theory, perfect for exploring your feelings and developing self-management skills. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to try acting or improve their intonation, posture, and presentation skills for personal or professional growth.

Sessions will consist of enjoyable drama games, improvisations and drama exercises enabling participants to develop and apply their imagination and creativity.
Participants will work in groups and pairs within a friendly and supportive environment and will learn how to develop specific acting and stage techniques, explore vocal and movement skills as well as begin to be able to interpret characters and perform in an acting role.
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
This course is suitable for people from a range of backgrounds and experience who want to focus on developing their acting and performance skills.
Each term will focus on a different approach, and you may begin in any term.
Please come wearing comfortable, black clothes and be ready to work with bare feet.
Feedback will be given during the process to enable you to improve and reflect on your skills and knowledge. There is an element of peer review and self assessment. You will reflect on your progress by keeping a learner diary and a personal learning plan (PLP).
