Kate Banks

Kate took a 1st class degree in Literature and Religious Studies from the University of Edinburgh, during which time she wrote a prize-winning essay on Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason. From there, she went on to teach senior school English and Drama for two years before completing an MPhil in Christian Theology at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Dr Rowan Williams. 

Kate currently organises a theology reading group and is running a series of colloquiums in London from November 2019 to July 2020. Her area of research is the relationship between poetry and theology, with particular interest in the poet David Jones and the Catholic philosopher Jacques Maritain.  She has many specialisms extending from Greek drama to  Modernism.
