Supported Learning - Overview

We have an exciting range of supportive courses for adults with special educational needs and disabilities. We believe that everyone has the ability to gain new skills for life, learning, work and leisure and that everyone should be treated with dignity, courtesy and respect. Everyone is treated as an adult and makes their own choices.

We will work with you to put together a programme that is right for you and meets your needs and interests. We have full-time courses to help you prepare for work and part-time courses that teach skills for learning and living.

Our leisure courses help you to meet other people and have fun while learning a new hobby. Ofsted said that our "range and quality of additional support for learners is exceptional."

To help more potential learners to access the college, we have a new fully accessible toilet with shower and hoist facilities and an adult changing bench installed in the accessible toilet at our Parkshot campus. This will allow people with severe physical disabilities to be able to stay longer at the college and is accessible for the local community.

We have a number of courses available including:

  • Art
  • Beauty and Self Care Skills
  • Cookery and Catering
  • English
  • Horticulture
  • IT
  • Maths
  • Music
  • Performing Arts
  • Sport
  • Step into Learning
