Our Arts & Crafts Advanced Practice courses are especially designed for those who are self-motivated makers and artists, who want to develop their existing skills to become practising professionals.
ViewJewellery Advanced Practice
This jewellery course is suitable for learners with an advance level of jewellery making skills or those wishing to learn advanced skills.
Through set projects you will learn a range of skills while working with silver and some gold. You will learn advanced stone setting and wax carving skills, how to repair or remake jewellery pieces and how to add colour through patina and enamelling using hot and cold enamels.
You will learn through hands on demonstrations, group work, design sessions, gallery exhibitions/museum visits, tutor guidance and support.
Basic materials can be purchased during the classes.
AL_LOAN NSF Accounting - AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma
The AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma for Accounting is a course that develops the knowledge and skills acquired on the AAT Level 2 Certificate for Accounting.
Ceramics Throwing Week - Beginners - Summer School
This is a fun practical beginners course, which aims to give you an understanding of throwing on the wheel.
You will have five days working on the wheel to make a set of mugs and/or bowls. This concentrated amount of time gives you the chance to really practice and master this rewarding technique. You will be taught by a professional thrower, who has over 10 years teaching experience. The course includes an evening glazing session later in the term to allow students to return and glaze their work from the summer.

Level 3 Certificate in Coding Practices - NCFE
This course will be delivered online.
The purpose of the NCFE Level 3 in Coding Practices is to provide learners with awareness of formal coding practices in the IT industry. It will provide the learner with a chance to develop knowledge and skills relating to coding practices with the view to seeking employment or proceeding to further study in this area.
Who is it suitable for?
This course is particularly suitable for those looking to consolidate their knowledge of coding and learn practical skills which can be used to seek work or proceed into study at Level 4.
This course is a distance learning course. There are also monthly tutorials you can attend to interact with the tutor and your peer learners. Distance learning courses require you to have sufficient capacity to study independently and this is advised at 6-8 hours per week over the duration of the course (24 weeks)
This course is free for any adult aged over 19 and over who wants to achieve their first full level 3 qualification.(equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or A levels) via the National Skills Fund
