3D Modelling and Rendering with Enscape 3D

Real-time rendering with Enscape allows you to digitally stage space in an almost photo-realistic environment. Learning this software which is a plugin to 3D modelling programs such as Sketchup enables you to visualize materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment Layouts in real time prior to installation. With Enscape, unlike other renderers, you don?t have to stop design to create high-quality visuals

This is a one-term non-qualification short skills-based course

Course Content

The course aims to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to use real-time rendering to visualize your projects.

The content is as follows:

Learning Enscape in SketchUp Introduction
Navigation
Management
User interface
Visual Setting
Materials
3D assets
How to render an Image
Render and share a panorama
How to design and render a video path
Customize and export an Exe file or web standalone

This is a project-led course in which you will learn through practical demonstration, formal instruction, and individual tuition, but primarily by working towards your individual design solution to a given brief.

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

You should have a working knowledge of SketchUp, at least to the extent that you can progress your projects independently without needing to be shown how to use the programs at an intermediate level. Ideally you would have completed our Sketchup for Designers and Sketchup Layout course or have equivalent knowledge.

First Class Requirements

Notepad, pen, and a memory stick.

It would be very useful to have access to a computer with your Sketchup and Enscape software outside of the classroom so that you can progress your project in your own time. You should be eligible to subscribe at the discounted student rate once you have enrolled as a student at RACC.

Remote Learning:
Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
