Campus Accessibility

Our college is fully accessible with ramps and lift facilities for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties.

There are nine disabled spaces on site (three at front, three at rear of the main building and three under the Annex building) and a drop-off area at the front of the building.

We also have a new accessible bathroom and shower with hoist and an adult changing bench installed in the accessible toilet at our Parkshot campus. This will allow people with severe physical disabilities to be able to stay longer at the college and is accessible for the local community.

Online Accessibility Standards

We have designed our website to be as accessible as possible so that you can find out about our courses and what we do.

We have taken into consideration our legal obligations under section 21 of the Disability Discrimination Act - "to make reasonable adjustments to ensure blind and partially sighted people can access your service". In addition, we have followed the guidelines of the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) guidelines.

We also try to meet the standards promoted by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), including all of the WAI Priority One checkpoints. We want to improve our website to make it as accessible and helpful as possible. If there is information that is not currently available on our website and would be of benefit to you, let us know by emailing marketing@rhacc.ac.uk
