Campus Accessibility
At RHACC, we are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all. Our campus is fully equipped with ramps and lift facilities to support wheelchair users and individuals with mobility challenges.
We offer nine designated disabled parking spaces—three at the front, three at the rear of the main building, and three beneath the annex building—as well as a convenient drop-off area at the front entrance.
Our Parkshot campus now features a newly installed accessible bathroom and shower, complete with a hoist and adult changing bench. This facility enables individuals with severe physical disabilities to stay longer and more comfortably at the College and is also available for use by members of the local community.
Online Accessibility Standards
We have designed our website to be as accessible and user-friendly as possible, so everyone can easily explore our courses and discover what we offer.
We’ve designed our site with accessibility in mind, guided by our legal responsibilities under Section 21 of the Disability Discrimination Act, which requires us to make reasonable adjustments to ensure blind and partially sighted users can access our services. In addition, we’ve followed best practice recommendations from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
Our website also aims to meet the standards set by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), including all Priority One checkpoints, to ensure a smooth and inclusive online experience for all users.
Images
Images on our website include descriptive alternative text (alt tags), making them accessible to users who rely on screen readers. These descriptions can also be viewed by hovering your mouse over the image, helping ensure that visual content is informative and inclusive for all visitors.
We’re always looking to improve.
