RHACC Committees:
There are four Committees that report directly into the Board:
- The Audit Committee
- The Search & Governance Committee
- The Finance & Resources Committee
- The Quality & Standards Committee
The Audit Committee provides independent advice to the Board on the effectiveness of the College’s internal control systems. It also reviews the College’s approach to risk management and assesses how well it ensures economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in its operations.
The Search & Governance Committee oversees all aspects of governance at the College. It identifies the skills and experience needed on the Board, manages the recruitment, appointment, and reappointment of Governors, and approves tailored training programmes to support their development. Given the sensitive and often personal nature of its work, the Committee’s proceedings are largely confidential.
The Remuneration Committee, a sub-committee of the Search & Governance Committee, is specifically responsible for matters relating to the remuneration of Senior Postholders.
The Finance & Resources Committee is responsible for overseeing key operational areas of the College. This includes scrutiny of financial performance, as well as governance of equality and diversity, safeguarding, human resources, and health and safety. The Committee ensures that these functions are effectively managed and aligned with the College’s strategic objectives.
The Quality & Standards Committee is responsible for reviewing RHACC’s quality strategy and curriculum provision, ensuring alignment with the College’s educational character and mission. It monitors compliance with both internal and external quality assurance frameworks, including self-assessment processes, inspections, and regulations governing student conduct.
