Bursaries
RHACC offers financial support to help learners continue their studies if facing hardship. There are two main types: the Discretionary Learner Support Bursary and the Adult Learner Loans Bursary.
Eligibility
- Aged 19+
- Household income below £25,000 per year
- Studying an eligible government-funded or student loan-funded course
- UK resident for 3+ years, or with permission to remain for 12 months from course start
What Support Covers
- Travel: Reimbursement of public transport or parking costs
- Materials: Essential course items (art, books, stationery) – up to £150 per term
- Childcare: Up to £80/day for one child, £140/day for two (Ofsted-registered)
- Registered attendance required; younger learners may also qualify under Care to Learn
Applying
Complete the Financial Support Bursary Application Form (online or at reception) and submit to bursaries@rhacc.ac.uk or in person. Decisions usually within two weeks.
Supports learners funding courses via Advanced Learner Loans, helping with:
- Travel and accommodation
- Course materials and equipment
- Childcare
- Classroom assistance for disabilities or learning difficulties
