
Adobe Illustrator - Saturday Intensive

Adobe Illustrator is used for producing vector-based graphics in digital design, commonly used for business branding, marketing, advertising, and personal art projects. With sophisticated digital drawing tools, Illustrator allows users to create vector-based illustrations, icons, typography and logos. This two day course will introduce you to the fundamentals of this industry standard software.
Course Content
Learn about the Illustrator workspace, tools, and panels
Understand vector graphics and their advantages
Explore the difference between raster and vector images
Use drawing tools to create basic shapes (rectangles, ellipses, polygons)
Work with layers and apply effects and styles
Understand the Pen tool for precise shape creation
Add and format text using the type tool
Create special type effects like outlines, shadows, and gradients
Explore character and paragraph formatting
Apply colour fills and strokes to shapes
Create gradients and understand colour modes (CMYK, RGB).
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Open to beginners, however you should be able to navigate the PC and save files with minimal support.
Additional Information
For many of our courses in creative computing and technology, you will be entitled to a free Adobe Creative Cloud license using your student account. This means that you will be able to download the applications to your home computer to be able to practise in between your classes. Ask your tutor for more information or email rbs@rhacc.ac.uk
