Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Reasonable spoken and written English.
A good command of AutoCAD 2D (please see the AutoCAD - Introduction course outline to ensure you are comfortable with all topics covered).
You are expected to attend every class and arrive on time. If you miss a class for a valid reason, inform your tutor in advance with a plan to catch up on missed work.
You must have Teams and AutoCAD ready to start at the first lesson.
Assessment Methods
We'll track your progress through practical exercises and your portfolio development. This course provides a solid foundation for further study in advanced AutoCAD techniques or related design fields.
Further Study Options
Students progress to work in a wide variety of industries using CAD including interior design, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, construction, electronics and product design.

Autodesk AutoCAD: Design and drafting software
A secondary screen is advisable.

Processor: Basic: 2.5 - 2.9 GHz with 8 logical cores (base); ARM processors are not supported. Recommended: 3+ GHz (base); 4+ GHz (turbo).
Memory: Basic: 8 GB. Recommended: 32 GB.
Display Resolution: Conventional: 1920 x 1080 with true color. Hi Resolution and 4K: up to 3840 x 2160 (with recommended display card).
Disk Space: As per Autodesk's Product Support Lifecycle.
Network: As per Autodesk's Product Support Lifecycle.
Pointing Device: As per Autodesk's Product Support Lifecycle.
.NET Framework: 64-bit Microsoft Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 1809 or above.
