Why Study This Course?
Learn to code for the future… Learn how to write your own computer program? Or, design a web or desktop application that millions of people could enjoy? Both are a possibility if you learn how to code in Python. Python is the very versatile, object-oriented programming language used by startups and tech giants, Google, Facebook, Dropbox and IBM. Python is also recommended for aspiring young developers who are interested in pursuing careers in Security, Networking and Internet-of-Things. Once you complete this course, you are ready to take the PCEP – Certified Entry Level Programmer in Python programming. No prior knowledge of programming is required.
This course is taught online by an instructor, where you are in a class with other students and able to interact with the tutor. The tutor can also support you directly through screen sharing.
This course will help you to:
Problem-solve using an algorithmic approach.
Understand programmer s work in the software development process.
Gain knowledge on how a program is executed in a computer environment.

Entry is by tutor approval only. Students should have a good knowledge of ICT systems and may already work within the IT industry and have a basic understanding of some of the concepts of programming or be good with numbers and maths.
Learners will need a good standard of literacy and numeracy prior to considering this course.(minimum level 1)
This course has some assessment tasks and a completion certificate.
