Course Content
Have you always been interested in music? This practical course is designed to inspire and ignite your passion. You'll improve your confidence to sing, play, and explore music in more depth. This course is perfect for beginners who want to discover their musical potential in a supportive and fun environment. You'll gain practical skills and a deeper understanding of music.
In this practical course we will be using a series of well known songs and instrumental pieces as the basis for further study.
Singing, exploring chords and melodies
Developing basic instrumental skills
Improving our knowledge of music theory
Looking at some of the history, literature and culture surrounding the songs
Exploring ways of using the songs as the basis for improvisation and development for performance including using graphic and traditional methods of notation
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
No previous experience playing or composing necessary.
Assessment Methods
