Digital Marketing and Social Media - Introduction

This is an introductory course to introduce learners to digital marketing and social media. We will aim to explain the terminology associated with Digital Marketing and give practical skills to also try out some of these practices by introducing to you to different software systems and social media platforms.

This course is for anyone wishing to start and develop a business, or wanting to work in this field and need an introduction. You may have completed a web design or mobile apps course and wish
to consider how to market your services or products.

Course Content

We will cover the following content

What Digital Marketing is and why it s important

Role of a website and how it is central to Digital Marketing

An overview of the types of Digital Marketing Techniques including:

Email Marketing
Search engine optimisation (SEO)
Search engine marketing (SEM)
Social Media Marketing (SMM)
Online Ads
Content Marketing

There will also be some time for practical work and trying out some of these
methods.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
