Digital Surgery

RHACC is providing a FREE digital skills surgery for all London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames ,Kingston residents and RHACC learners as part of the Covid19 Recovery Plan. Our Sessions are telephone based at present and are run by our Tech Doctor - Elliot Hunter every Wednesday, each sessions lasts for half an hour and is exclusive 1-2-1 for each individual.

Course Content

Services we can provide:


* Bring in your new device and get help in setting it up
* Advice with updating your device's operating system
* Setup for a new device
* Setup Social Media or WhatsApp on your smartphone with crucial tips and tricks
* Wiping an old device (Someone else's device or a hand down)


* Watch Demo's of how to use an Ipad, Iphone, Android phone,tablet, PC or Mac computer
* Understand how to setup an online account for shopping, netflix, government or other entertainment services
* Understand how to setup popular video conferencing software such as Zoom, Teams, Skype, Googlemeet or Facebook messenger including setting up your Webcam and Microphone


* Get Advice on managing security through Virus and Adware protection for your computer
* Help with Storage management and making space on your device

Safety Information
We want to keep you safe while you are at RHACC and as such all on-site classes will be run under strict social distancing guidelines with smaller class sizes and additional hygiene procedures in place. Please act responsibly and do not attend the class if you display any of the symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in recent contact with someone who has. Please see government advice here.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

After booking onto this session you will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself and your device. You will be asked to complete a disclaimer regarding the service. All sessions are conducted within Covid19 regulations - presently these are phone based.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
