
Emergency First Aid at Work

Whilst open to all, this course is predominantly aimed at those who will be responsible for administering first aid in the workplace. As such, the course is ideal for businesses who require a fully trained first aider. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive?s First Aid Regulations.
The course is delivered using a hybrid model and entails 3 x hours of online training followed by 3 x hours in the classroom at our Hillcroft campus in Surbiton. This blended approach allows you to learn the theoretical elements of first aid at your own pace.
On successful completion your First Aid certificate will be valid for 3 years.
Course Content
By the end of your course you will
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Be able to assess an incident
- Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
There are no specific entry requirements although we recommend that you have Level 1 English Skills so that you are able to complete the online test.
Additional Information
Please note, it is mandatory to complete the online element of the course before attending the face to face session.
