Course Content

This course covers:
Expand vocabulary related to real-life contexts such as health, leisure, news, festivals, and celebrations
Practice giving and receiving information in group discussions
Develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for everyday communication
Improve confidence using English in digital tasks (e.g., emailing, using online forms)
Engage with practical reading materials like timetables, signs, and instructions
Build functional English skills to support greater independence in daily life and work

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

A detailed initial assessment is carried out with each learner to determine learning needs and suitability to join the course. The initial assessment normally takes up to 1 hour.

Your next steps will be determined in conjunction with your tutor, through the development of the Personal Learning Plan and how well you achieve in your course. We will work with you to find the best next step for you.
