Course Content
This course covers:
Writing in Context: Building confidence in writing in a wide variety of contexts
Practical Writing: Practicing writing in different situations, for example, writing emails, letters, essays, articles and completing forms
Language Development: Building your language and vocabulary
Communication Skills: Communicating with others in both informal and formal situations
Study Skills: Developing your study skills and improving your confidence in your general English language skills
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Complete an English initial assessment to check your level.
Have an entry level of Level 1 Functional Skills English.
Attendance Requirements
To successfully complete this course, you must commit to 100% attendance and punctuality.
Assessment Methods
Your English skills will be assessed and developed through a folder of work and the use of a Personal Learning Plan (PLP). Your work will be gathered and marked by your tutor as you progress through the course.
