This course is designed for students who want to create beaded & wire jewellery, develop existing skills or learn new skills to enhance their design practice.If you would like to enrol on an eligible course as a Carer then please visit reception at either Parkshot or Hillcroft where one of our staff will be able to assist you. Course Content
The course is hands-on and will cover theory and practical skills, you will work on set pieces and be given handouts and useful information to enable you to work independently.
You will learn how to make eye-catching hoop or drop earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings incorporating an assortment of beads, findings, chains, charms and recycled objects,
You will learn basic stringing and wire wrapping techniques, wirework and design to create original and unique pieces. You will learn how to use basic jewellery tools and techniques, which will enable you to pursue advanced courses or workshops. This course is suitable for a mixture of abilities, those of you who are interested in jewellery making as a hobby or wish to take your work onto a higher level. It would also be suitable if you have an interest in fashion & costume design or making and wish to develop skills to accessorise your work.

Learning Outcomes:
Gain experience of a range of basic jewellery making techniques
Gain experience of using a range of tools employed in basic jewellery making
Gain experience in making and designing necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings using wire wrapping and stringing techniques.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
First Class Requirements
Bring a notebook, pencil and an apron to the class
