You'll expand your vocabulary, master high-frequency idioms, and gain the skills to debate and present in French. Perfect for those with a passion for French culture and a desire to express themselves fluently.

Course Content

This course covers:
Expressing opinions in French using advanced structures and vocabulary, especially when discussing current affairs
Identifying and accurately using tenses and grammar structures (passé composé/imparfait, conditionnel et subjonctif)
Using French expressions and idioms in context
Critically analysing and commenting on written texts from newspapers, magazines, or websites (B2-C1 level)
Understanding videos on current topics in French (B2-C1 level)

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

This course is for advanced learners with 6 or more years of previous French study.
You should be working around B2/C1 level.

First Class Requirements

Please bring a pen and paper or your electronic device if preferred.

Attendance Requirements

Regular attendance is advisable to develop language skills and ensure maximum progress.

Assessment Methods

Your tutor will discuss your goals with you and assess your progress through in-class observation and activities. You'll track your progress in your Personal Learning Plan (PLP). After this course, you can enrol on any Advanced level course.

You won't need to buy a book for this class. It's delivered online, and we'll teach you how to use Zoom. You'll need access to online sites for videos and podcasts.
