You need to be working toward Entry Level 1 Maths to join this course.
You will need to sit a computer-based initial assessment to show your current maths level.
You will be assessed through an exam at the College. You'll have one exam sitting and the option of two re-sits if needed. Passing Functional Skills Maths Entry Level 1 allows you to progress to Entry Level 2 Functional Skills Maths.
If you have already achieved GCSE Maths grade C/4 or higher then maths courses will not be free for you and you will need to pay a fee, please discuss this with college staff when you come to enrol.

You'll need an A4 writing pad, a ring-binder or folders, pencils, a rubber, a 30cm ruler, and a highlighter pen. You will also need a calculator. Expect to spend at least 3 to 4 hours per week on homework.
Please note that tutors may occasionally be changed at short notice. While teaching styles may vary, we ensure consistent quality across all of our courses. For this reason, a change of tutor does not qualify for a refund.
