Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Have GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or Level 2 Functional Skills) in English and Maths.
Possess a good working knowledge of IT.
Hold a relevant qualification in your area of specialism, at least Level 3.
Be employed or in a placement that allows you to evidence:
150 hours of teaching practice (minimum 20 hours live online/remote).
100 hours of non-teaching practice (e.g., meetings, CPD).
Two qualified mentors (subject specialist and pastoral), providing 30 minutes of weekly mentoring.
20 hours in a different placement or location.
10 lesson observations from a subject specialist.
Not have a criminal background that prevents working with young people or vulnerable adults.
First Class Requirements
Bring suitable note-making equipment. You might wish to bring a pad or lap top device.

100% attendance is expected on this course
Assessment Methods
Your progress will be assessed through written assignments and your e-portfolio, which includes evidence of your teaching practice. Qualified assessors will observe a minimum of ten of your lessons/training sessions (one hour each). Upon successful completion, you can explore further qualifications in education or advance your career in teaching and training.
Further Study Options
Progression could include application for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status (QTLS)
