You will experience flexible learning through a mix of face-to-face teaching and online resources. You will gain a nationally recognised Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care. You will also develop essential skills for further study and the workplace.

Principles of communication in adult social care settings
Principles of personal development in adult social care settings
Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care settings
Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
Understand the role of the social care worker
Understand person-centred approaches in adult social care settings
Understand health and safety in social care settings
Understand how to handle information in social care settings
You will experience flexible learning through a mix of face-to-face teaching and online resources. You will gain a nationally recognised Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care. You will also develop essential skills for further study and the workplace.
You must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Ideally, you will have Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English).
If you don't have proof of an English qualification, you'll take a short assessment.
You'll need to complete a short application and attend a brief online interview.
Access to a PC, laptop, or tablet with internet is recommended, but you can use college facilities for online work.
You'll submit assignments online for each unit, and your tutor will provide feedback. Successful completion of all units leads to the certificate. This qualification benefits those seeking or working in the Adult Social Care sector, and those interested in Social Work. Next steps could include:
