Course Content
This course introduces essential drawing skills in a supportive setting: Explore line drawing, contour, negative space, measuring from observation, basic perspective, tone and shading, and geometric shapes in composition and some colour work using pastels.
Through still life exercises and varied materials, you'll build confidence and a strong foundation in observational drawing.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

This course is for all levels however, some prior knowledge of art materials, tools and techniques is required to make this a more beneficial experience.
First Class Requirements
Paper will be available to purchase
A range of pencils, B, 2B, 4B, eraser and sharpener
You will be advised on additional materials if they are required.
Assessment Methods
Each session will conclude with informal, supportive group critiques, giving you the opportunity to share your work and receive constructive feedback. Throughout the course, your tutor will provide individual verbal feedback as you work on projects and participate in discussions.
