Ready to take your Italian to the next level? Building on Beginners Stage 1, this course helps you develop your spoken and written Italian. You'll learn sentence structure, basic verb conjugations, and how to express yourself with connectives and negative forms. This course is perfect for anyone wanting to communicate with native speakers, share personal information, and express opinions. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Completion of Beginners Stage 1 or equivalent (30 hours of study).
Suitable if you have studied Italian briefly in the past and want to revisit the basics.

In your first lesson, the tutor will give you details of the textbook you will require.

Attendance Requirements

Our courses follow a communicative approach which will give you the skills to communicate effectively in Italian in everyday situations, such as ordering food and drinks, asking for directions, booking a holiday and travelling. Classroom activities in pairs and groups will help you acquire speaking and listening skills and the basic rules of pronunciation. You will also develop your reading and writing skills. You will start building on your grammar and sentence structure with more connectives, verb forms and ways to express opinions.

Assessment Methods

Your tutor will discuss your goals with you and assess your progress through in-class observation and activities. You'll track your learning in your Personal Learning Plan (PLP). Bring a pen and paper or your preferred electronic device. After this course, you can progress to Post Beginners Stage 1.
