Course Content
This course covers:
Introduction to gemstone and wire jewellery making: Fundamentals of gemstone and wire jewellery making
Jewellery making techniques: Hands-on session to teach you how to create beautiful, handcrafted jewellery using semi-precious gemstones and wire-wrapping techniques
Creative expression and language development: Combining creative expression with language development.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

First Class Requirements
Bring a notebook, pencil and an apron to the class
Base metals (copper/brass) for this course can be purchased from the college. Silver will need to be purchased by you from specialist jewellery suppliers which your tutor can recommend.
Attendance Requirements
Regular attendance is required.
Assessment Methods
Your progress will be assessed through Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) and regular discussions with your tutor. This includes tracking your own practice through written notes and tutor feedback, helping you gauge your progression and personal development throughout the course. This course can be a stepping stone to further jewellery making courses or other creative crafts.
Additional Information
The cost of essential materials (which are all provided in the class) is included in the fee. Please note there will be an additional charge of £100.00 for the cost of materials above and beyond the essential materials supplied on the day.
