You'll learn to work with a wider range of metals, master advanced techniques like stone setting and wax carving, and add stunning colour to your pieces. If you're looking to create truly unique and professional-quality jewellery, this course is for you.
Course Content
This jewellery course covers:
Advanced stone setting skills
Wax carving techniques
Repairing and remaking jewellery pieces
Adding colour through patina
Enamelling using hot and cold enamels
Working with silver and some gold
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
This course is suitable for intermediate level students.
Returning intermediate learners will discuss their aims with their tutor and set achievable personal targets for the course.
First Class Requirements
Bring a notebook, pencil and an apron to the class
Specialist equipment & precious metals (silver) and stones will have to be purchased by you from specialist suppliers; your tutor will give you further information at the start of the course
Assessment Methods
Your progress will be assessed through observation of your practical work and discussions with your tutor. We'll help you identify your strengths and areas for development.
