Course Content
This course covers:
Principles of providing administrative services: Learn about administrative support tasks, meeting types, mail services, and travel arrangements, and understand the impact of poor customer service.
Principles of business document production and information management: Understand how to prepare and distribute business documents and how information is managed in business organisations.
Understand employer organisations: Gain an understanding of different organisational structures and the organisational environment.
Understand communication in a business environment: Develop skills in written and verbal business communication, including appropriate body language and tone of voice.
Social media: Explore the opportunities and threats associated with using social media and its application within a business.
Safe use of online and social media: Learn how to use social media platforms safely, adopt security methods to safeguard systems and data, and protect online devices from security attacks and fraud.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
You will need to demonstrate competence in English and maths at Level 1.
First Class Requirements
You will be learning online but should be adequately prepared to create word processed documents to complete your assignments.
Attendance Requirements
You can study at your own pace but must stick to the assessment schedule provided on the platform.
Assessment Methods

Further Study Options
On completion of the course, you can progress onto a Level 3 course in Management, or an Access to Higher Education course.
