Want to improve your drawing skills and explore the human form? This Life Drawing course welcomes all levels, from beginners to advanced. You'll learn essential techniques like line drawing, tonal studies, perspective and anatomy. Discover historical and contemporary approaches to figure drawing and gain confidence in a traditional studio setting. This course will help you develop your artistic eye and express yourself through drawing.
Course Content
This course covers:
Scale - getting the student to be able to fit their figure effectively on the paper, using basic measuring tactics
Proportion using negative space
Design - working with composition and framing
Quality of Line, Mark-making and Colour
Working with other Experimental Directives
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

This course is for all levels, however, some prior knowledge of art materials, tools and techniques is required to make this a more beneficial experience.
Attendance Requirements
Regular attendance is recommended.
Assessment Methods
Each session will conclude with informal, supportive group critiques. This gives you the opportunity to share your work and receive constructive feedback. Throughout the course, your tutor will provide individual verbal feedback as you work on projects and participate in discussions.

The college has a range of life drawing classes and other art courses which learners will be able to progress to.
Additional Information
The cost of essential materials is included in the fee. However, there will be an additional charge of £20.00 for materials above and beyond the essential materials supplied on the day. Paper is available to buy in class.
