This course will be delivered online.
This short [online] workshop will, briefly explore definitions and theories of loss and grief, the emotional and psychological reaction to loss and will reflect on its relationship to change. For many people, the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II triggered memories or exacerbated the personal experience of loss and bereavement and brought the process of loss and grief into national focus. This course will be of interest to those who have suffered personal loss and those supporting others during the time of bereavement.
Course Content
Through tutor presentation and discussion, this short course will:
explore definitions of the terms ?loss? and ?grief?
summarise different theories of loss and grief and reflect on how these theories shed light on grief expressed in our own lives
consider differences and similarities of the personal experience loss and grief
the relationship between loss and grief mental health
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course however, to fully benefit from the workshop we recommend that you have a minimum of Level 1 English speaking and listening skills.
Assessment Methods
Whilst there is no formal assessment for this short course, you will be asked to complete a short Personal Learning Review.

Please note, this course will be delivered [online] via Microsoft Teams, you will require either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to participate in the workshop. Lessons will run at the published time - so be ready and set up to join in.
