This course is designed for individuals who have a passion for jewellery and want to learn the basics of jewellery making from scratch. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, participants will gain essential skills and knowledge to create their own jewellery pieces.If you would like to enrol on an eligible course as a Carer then please visit reception at either Parkshot or Hillcroft where one of our staff will be able to assist you. Course Content
Introduction to Jewellery Making: Overview of tools, materials, and safety protocols.
Understanding Jewellery Components: Exploration of metals, gemstones, and finding.
Metalworking Fundamentals: Basic metal forming and shaping techniques.
Creating textures using hammers and other materials,
Introduction to Soldering: Safety precautions and basic soldering techniques.
Introduction to Chain making (make Bracelet)
Stone Setting Basics: Overview of bezel setting techniques.
Finishing and polishing of metal: Techniques for refining metal surfaces and add finishes.
Course aims: The aim of the course is to introduce absolute beginners to the art of jewellery making, providing them with fundamental skills and knowledge to create their own jewellery pieces.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Apron, sketchbook pens and pencils.
Attendance Requirements
Regular attendance is essential to gaining the most out of the course.
Assessment Methods
The assessment process is carried out using Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) and regular discussions with the tutor.
This includes tracking your own practice through written notes and tutors written responses, gauging your progression and personal development through the course.
No formal assessment, verbal feedback will given on-class work/project
