Ready to take your photography to the next level? This Level 2 course is designed to give you the specialist knowledge and skills you need to progress towards professional practice or further academic study. You'll gain in-depth experience of techniques, disciplines and issues within contemporary photography. Build a portfolio for higher-level courses or your own professional work. This course is for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding and skills in photography.
Course Content
This course covers:
Camera Controls: Mastering camera settings for creative photography
Studio Lighting: Using artificial light and accessories to create professional images
Digital Processing and Editing: Enhancing your images using digital tools
Creative Development: Exploring your own interests and approaches within structured projects
Portfolio Development: Presenting your work in an exhibition
Journaling: Recording and developing your photographic journey
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Ideally, you will have completed a photographic course at Level 1.
An interview and tutor approval are required for this course.

Regular attendance is essential in order to keep up with your coursework and meet assessment deadlines.
Assessment Methods
The course is assessed through projects and sketchbook work. There are deadlines for assignments throughout the course which you will need to meet to continue and gain the qualification. Upon successful completion, you can progress to further study at Level 3 or 4.

Additional Information
A tripod and flashgun will be very useful during the course. Some basic materials such as cartridge paper are available to buy from the College. Details will be given out at the first lesson, and prices will depend on the materials used and the size of the work.
