This course is an introduction to the equipment and techniques of studio photography. Through portraiture and still life you will be exploring the basics of using a lighting set up through practical exercises.

Course Content

During this course you will be exploring basic photographic techniques used in the studio environment. You will be introduced to a range of studio equipment and accessories. You will be involved in the following activities:

• Working with studio equipment to produce images using one studio light techniques – low key
• Working basic lighting patterns
• Working with more complex lighting set ups to achieve high key images
• Reviewing own and others studio photographs

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Ideally you will need to have completed a photographic course at Level 1 to enrol. You should have access to a digital SLR camera.

Additional Information

This specialist course has been identified to run with fewer numbers due to either the student demand for the course and subject area or the need for increased one to one tuition. This course will be able to run with only 6 learners and will have a maximum of 10 in the class.
