This course offers a hands-on introduction to Sage Business Cloud Accounting, a leading tool for efficient financial management. Even without prior experience, you'll learn to use its core features for day-to-day finance tasks. This course is ideal for self-employed individuals, small business staff, or admin assistants. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate issued by Sage Qualification.

Course Content

This course covers:
Introduction to Sage Business Cloud: Overview of cloud accounting, benefits of using Sage
Setting Up Your Organisation: Creating a company profile, setting financial year and VAT settings
Chart of Accounts and Settings: Understanding the chart of accounts, adding and editing account codes
Creating and Managing Customers and Suppliers: Adding contacts, customer and supplier account management
Raising Sales Invoices and Credit Notes: Creating professional invoices, applying credit notes and tracking payments
Entering Purchase Invoices and Expenses: Recording supplier invoices and payments, managing petty cash and staff expenses
Banking and Reconciliation: Connecting bank feeds, performing bank reconciliation
Basic Reporting: Running standard reports: P&L, balance sheet, aged debtors/creditors, exporting and interpreting key reports

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge is needed.
Basic computer and internet navigation skills are required.
You'll need access to a device with an internet connection for online sessions.

This is a one session course

Assessment Methods

Your progress will be assessed through in-class knowledge checks and practical exercises. You'll complete set tasks within Sage, such as creating and posting invoices. A final quiz or mini-project will demonstrate your core competency. Completion of the course on the Sage Platform is also required. After this course, you could study Xero Accounting Software (Beginner) or AAT Level 1/2 Bookkeeping.

Additional Information

The Sage Education Cloud licence is included in the course fee and provides access for three months. To receive a completion certificate issued by Sage Qualifications, you are expected to complete the course through self-directed study within this timeframe.
