Why Study This Course?
Want to take your tap skills to the next level? This course is perfect for you! Building on the basics, you’ll expand your repertoire of steps and start working on more complex dances. If you’ve completed a beginners tap class or have some experience, this is your chance to develop your skills and confidence on the dance floor.
You will learn in our beautiful dance studio at Parkshot, guided by experienced tutor Nicole. You will improve your fitness, learn new steps, and have fun while you strut your stuff!
This course covers:
New tap steps to expand your repertoire
Posture, balance, and timing techniques
Choreography to put your new skills into practice
This is a hands-on, practical course taught in the classroom. Your experienced tutor will share their industry knowledge and provide you with personalised feedback to help you improve.
Some experience of tap dance is needed to get the most from this course.
You may have completed the tap beginners class at RHACC or a similar level elsewhere.
There are no formal assessments, but you'll see your progress as you learn new steps each week. Regular attendance will help you keep up with the choreography. After this course, you could consider more advanced tap classes or other dance styles.
You will need tap shoes for this class. Talk to your tutor for advice on buying new shoes. Please bring comfortable clothes suitable for dancing and a bottle of water.
Please note that tutors may occasionally be changed at short notice. While teaching styles may vary, we ensure consistent quality across all of our courses. For this reason, a change of tutor does not qualify for a refund.
