Course Content

This beginner-friendly course introduces the essentials of visual storytelling through photography. You will cover:

Understanding your camera - basic functions, settings, and modes
Composition basics - framing, rule of thirds, and perspective
Lighting fundamentals - natural vs artificial light and simple adjustments
Telling a story - capturing mood, emotion, and narrative in a single image
Basic editing - simple enhancements using free or built-in software
Practical exercises - hands-on projects to apply key skills

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

No prior experience required-this course is suitable for beginners
A digital camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or advanced compact) or Smartphone with a good camera is recommended but if you do not have one you will have an opportunity to use a professional camera in class.

First Class Requirements

If you have one you can bring your DSLR camera or smartphone
