Learning Support

If you have a learning difficulty or disability, we can provide you with learning support including.

  • One-to-one English and Maths tutorials or workshop support
  • In-class support - note taker, reader, scribe
  • Communicator/Signer
  • Special exam arrangements - extra time, rest breaks etc. if appropriate evidence is supplied within the first four weeks of the course start date
  • Specialist software/equipment

Please let us know the details of your needs when you enrol, or speak to your course tutor and ask to be referred to Learning Support. 

Learners on Higher Education Courses should apply for the Disabled Student Allowance (DSA). Please note, if you have complex needs or require specialist equipment, we will need reasonable notice before the start of your course.


Wellbeing Drop-in Advice Sessions (term-time only)

You can discuss your needs at one of our Drop-in advice sessions.

Wellbeing Learning Advice sessions are available on:

Monday 11:00am-12:00pm
Tuesday 1:00pm-3:00pm
Wednesday 11:00am-12:00pm
Thursday 1:00pm-4:00pm
Friday 11:00am-12:00pm

To make an appointment, please email wellbeing@rhacc.ac.uk and we will send you an invitiation to talk to an adivsor confidentially via Teams or by telephone.
