Learn it, love it, live it at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College.
It is an exciting time in Richmond and Surbiton, as the newly merged Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College (RHACC) launches its impressive new combined course programme at its Open Day on Thursday 7 December, 4 - 7pm.
Those looking to start something new in 2018 will find over 2000 courses on offer which are guaranteed to inspire both the leisure learner and professionals keen to develop their career skills.
Gabrielle Flint, Principal explains why the relaxed, welcoming and contemporary space is so appealing to their adult learners: “There is a genuine community feel here at RHACC, fostered by our beautiful buildings and campuses. Our mantra is ‘learn it, love it, live it’ and that’s what our courses offer learners – from the creatives in the Art School, the commercial minds in the Business School to the performers in our Drama School”.
Ms Flint is also championing the health benefits of learning, proven to be one of the key five pathways to wellbeing. She explains further: “It is well documented how continued learning through life enhances self-esteem and encourages social interaction and a more active life. In fact participating in learning is becoming part of the ‘social prescribing’ movement whereby being involved in a variety of activities supports a wide range of social, emotional or practical needs to improve mental health and physical wellbeing. I am particularly proud that the range and breadth of courses we offer, with many either free or with generous concessions and discounts, means our doors are genuinely open to all in the community.”
The recently merged college means RHACC has extended its offer to include the new Hillcroft Women Education programme at the Surbiton campus. This range of courses is offered exclusively to women and is predominantly residential.
