German - Advanced Conversation

Ready to take your German conversation skills to the next level? This course is designed for you! You'll learn to communicate confidently in various situations, understanding different viewpoints and complex arguments. You'll refine your grammar and explore the nuances of the German language. Get ready for engaging debates and lively discussions with your classmates. This course will help you express yourself fluently and accurately in German.

Course Content

A wide range of topic areas will be covered at this level, including items of current interest, which will extend learners vocabulary and use of some high frequency idiom. For example:
Discussing and debating current affairs
Exploring the target language culture, history, arts, sport and leisure
Examining traditions, food, literature, cinema etc.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Completion of Post Intermediate Stage 2.
Alternatively, if you have not previously taken a course in this language at RHACC, please complete the self-assessment Level and Placement test found on our website.

First Class Requirements

Please bring a pen and paper or your electronic device if preferred.

Attendance Requirements

Regular attendance is advisable to ensure maximum progress.

Assessment Methods

Your tutor will discuss your goals with you and assess your progress through in-class observation and activities. You'll benefit from tutor input, group work, and a range of resources. We tailor our teaching to different learning styles to make your learning enjoyable and rewarding. Homework will be assigned after each session. This is not an exam course. After completing this course, you can enrol on any Advanced level course.
