Course Content
On this short course you will be introduced to the work of the Humanistic approach to counselling and in particular, theorists Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow. The main topics will be:
Roger's core-conditions of the therapeutic relationship
Congruence
Unconditional Positive Regard
Empathic Understanding
Maslow’s concept of motivation, growth and self-actualisation

We recommend you have a minimum of Level 1 English speaking and listening skills to fully benefit from the workshop.
Assessment Methods
There is no formal assessment for this short course. You will be asked to complete a short Personal Learning Review to reflect on your learning.
