Want to learn how to design user-friendly digital experiences? In this course, you’ll learn how to work as a UX Designer using Figma, a versatile design tool. Figma allows designers and teams to create, prototype and collaborate on various projects, including websites, mobile applications and other digital products and experiences. This course is for anyone interested in UI/UX design and wants to gain practical skills using a leading industry tool.

Course Content

This course covers:
Introduction to UX Design and Figma: Understand the role of UX design in creating user-friendly digital experiences. Explore Figma’s interface, tools, and collaborative features.
User Research and Personas: Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Create user personas to inform design decisions.
Information Architecture and Wireframing: Organise content using sitemaps and user flows. Develop low-fidelity wireframes in Figma.
Prototyping and Interaction Design: Build interactive prototypes for web and mobile interfaces. Define user interactions, transitions, and animations.
Visual Design and UI Elements: Apply visual design principles including typography, colour, and layout. Design UI components like buttons, forms, and icons in Figma.
Collaboration and Handoff: Collaborate with developers using Figma’s handoff features. Prepare design assets for implementation.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

You will need to have good computer skills.
Ideally, you will have existing skills from a software application such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Powerpoint or other design or UI/UX related programmes.
