If you lead a team of internal quality assurance staff in the workplace or educational or training environment, then this is the appropriate qualification for you.
Course Content
The course work is made up of one written assignment and two units evidencing working practice.
The theory assignment is Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment .
The two units which required working practice evidence are:
- Internal assurance of the quality of assessment
- Planning, allocating and monitoring work in own area or responsibility
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
You should also be working in the capacity of leading a team of internal quality assurance staff in the workplace or an education or training environment.
You must have functional skills in English, Maths and ICT at Level 2 (which could be evidenced by GCSE qualifications at Grade C or numerical equivalent 4 or above or alternatively undertaking functional skills screening).
Ideally, you will also have a Level 3 qualification particularly in assessing vocational achievement but this is not essential.
First Class Requirements
Bring suitable note-making equipment. You might wish to bring a pad or lap top device.
Attendance Requirements
This is a qualification course and you should aim for 100% attendance at taught sessions.
Assessment Methods
Portfolio of evidence of assessed activities as set and marked by your tutor. The portfolio is an e-portfolio.
Further Study Options
Once you have achieved this qualification, you could progress to the L4 Certificate in Education and Training or the L5 Diploma in Education and Training.
Additional Information
You will need to be currently working in a role in which you are leading internal quality assurance to undertake and complete this course
