This workshop enables learners to express themselves and their feelings and memories, verbally and non-verbally, through music experimentation.

Everyone, regardless of physical disability or cognitive impairment, has the ability to respond to, and express themselves through music.

Course Content

There will be a variety of instruments used in the sessions including tuned and un-tuned percussion which can all be played instinctively without prior knowledge.

There are easy grip beaters available and adjustable instrument stands for those with mobility issues.
Everyone, regardless of physical disability or cognitive impairment, has the ability to respond to, and express themselves through music.

Verbal and non-verbal responses and interactions are respected and acknowledged and will allow the music therapist to get to know the participants? individuality.

Song choices during the sessions will reflect the age, race and ethnicity of the participants and requests for songs will be welcomed wherever possible.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
