Interested in film editing? This introductory course is for you! Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this course will equip you with the skills to confidently edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro. You'll gain practical skills that can support your personal and professional development, helping you become more confident using digital tools.

Course Content

This course covers:
Interface Overview: Importing files into Premiere Pro, organising files, creating a sequence, and building a first assembly of your video
Editing Tools: Exploring and using different tools to trim, cut, add transitions, and fine-tune your video edit
Video Effects: Adding video effects to your sequence and exploring basic colour grading and white balance
Sound Editing: Continuing with colour grading and exploring basic sound mix editing
Titles and Exporting: Adding titles to your video and exploring exporting options
Promotional Video: First assembly
Keyframes and Masks: Using keyframes to change effects over time and exploring editing mask effects in video
Adjustment Layers and Colour Grading: Using adjustment layers and conducting an in-depth exploration of colour grading
Sound Mixing and Green Screen: An in-depth exploration of sound mixing with different types of audio and green screen effects in video
Titles and Subtitles: Further exploration of titles and adding subtitles. Final export

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Open to all, including beginners.

First Class Requirements

Bring headphones and a notebook/pen

We'll track your progress through practical exercises and tutor feedback.
