Managing Your Personal Finances

Are you looking to gain control of your finances and build long-term financial stability? This course provides an overview of essential money management skills. It's designed for carers who want to learn how to budget, save, and make informed financial decisions. By the end of this course, you'll feel more confident in managing your money and planning for the future. If you would like to enrol on an eligible course as a Carer then please contact reception where one of our staff will be able to assist you.

Course Content

This course covers:
Savings: Explore the characteristics of financial products such as ISAs, bonds, and savings accounts.
Borrowing: Understand different borrowing options, including loans, credit cards, and mortgages.
Investments: Learn how to invest wisely to minimise risk and maximise returns over time.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no formal entry requirements.
It is advisable to have a good standard of English and maths.

Assessment Methods

This session will start and end with a self-assessment of knowledge and skills. Feedback from peers and the facilitator will help everyone to achieve the aims of the session.
