To enrol on one of the above Access to HE courses, you must be 19 or over on the 31st August. If you are 19 to 23 the course is free to eligible students and if you are 23 or over there are student loans available which will not require repayment if you progress and complete a University course find out moreYou will be required to complete an application form and an English and Maths assessment test at the college prior to attending the interview.

Advanced Learner Loan

Access courses are free to eligible 19 - 23 year olds. If you are over 19, you can access an Advanced Learner Loan so there are no upfront fees. If you progress to university you will not need to repay this loan at the completion of your degree.

You will need your GCSE's to enrol on an Access course.

We offer a range of different GCSEs in English, Maths and Science, delivered over one year. Some learners may be able to join an intensive Maths or Science GCSE in January depending on study skills and prior knowledge of the subject. English and Maths GCSEs are free for all learners without a GCSE grade C and above.

RHACC is a friendly adult learning environment with lots of support from our expert tutors. We understand the needs of adult learners and will help you gain the qualifications and study skills you need for university. We understand the importance of work/life balance and you will get a free exercise or leisure course during your studies.

We offer a one-to-one interview with you to discuss which course is right for you. We can help you find the entry requirements to any particular course or university you wish to progress to. There is extra help available with English and Maths, and free qualifications in these areas if required. We have an onsite crèche for children aged six months to four years.

We can provide information about options to help you finance your course. You may qualify for a free course if you are aged between 18 and 23 when your course starts and it is your first full level 3 qualification. For learners aged 19 and over the Advanced Learner Loan is available to cover the cost of course fees. If you progress to university you will not need to repay your loan at the completion of your degree.

You will have a personal tutor who will support you with your studies. You will also receive career guidance and comprehensive help with your UCAS university application. If you have a learning difficulty and/or disability such as dyslexia, we may be able to provide additional learning support; please discuss this at your interview. Please be aware that there is a significant level of commitment required to successfully complete this course but we support you at every stage. We also provide support with your English and Maths and have a crèche on site for convenient childcare.

Successful students will receive an Access Diploma issued by the Open College Network London under licence from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. OCN London is a leading national Awarding Organisation providing high quality qualifications. The diploma is nationally recognised for entry to Higher Education and is part of the UCAS tariff points.
