Manos Kalamenios

Manos Kalamenios is teaching Mouldmaking, Slipcasting, Surface decoration and Masterclass in Colour & Ceramics. Manos prior to ceramics he worked for 14 years as a Chef in hotels and resorts such as the Four Seasons hotels with a degree in culinary arts, but his great passion is ceramics. What started as a part time study in Art & Design in 2006 led up to a first-class BA in Fine Art with honours in 2012 and then a graduate with a Masters in Ceramics & Glass from the Royal College of Art in 2016. He is an active practicing ceramicist with his own studio. His passion for ceramics and extensive knowledge for the material led him to exhibit within the UK, Asia and Europe in galleries, Biennales and museums, public installations, private collectors such as Sir James Dyson, to hotels commissions and Michelin star restaurants around the globe. After all these years of knowledge accumulation he felt it was time to pass on and give back to the community. RHACC is so well equipped in so many departments which make his teaching here not just enjoyable but also very exciting as he gets to share not just his passion but also his knowledge by utilising all the equipment available and helping the students learn new things and achieve results equivalent to a BA level.
