Taking Teaching Further
Interested in teaching in Adult Education?
The college currently has exciting opportunities for candidates, with non-teaching backgrounds, to train to become qualified teachers/trainers (Adult Education). The programme is designed for those with business/industry experience who wish to share their specialist knowledge and experience by training tomorrow’s workforce.
On the Taking Teaching Further programme you will…
- be a trainee teacher within your specialist area (teaching predominantly 19+ year-old learners)
- earn a salary whilst you learn
- study and gain a Level 5 Teaching Qualification
- receive 1:1 support and mentoring
- shadow experienced and qualified FE tutors and trainers
Eligibility
Candidates will have a minimum of two years of business or industry experience, with no previous teaching experience. We are particularly interested to hear from those interested in training to teach in the following areas:
- British Sign Language
- Counselling
- Special Education Needs and Disability
- English
We would also be interested in speaking with you if you have skills applicable to the following areas:
- Accounting
- Business and Administration
- Care Services
- Creative and Design
- Digital
- Education and Childcare
- Business Administration
