This workshop is designed for those considering a career in counselling. You will gain a solid understanding of the counselling profession. You will be able to apply for our Counselling-Introductions course and/or the full Level 2 qualification course upon completion.

What counselling is and what it involves
Fundamental aspects of counselling
Different environments in which counsellors work
How to progress your interest through further study
This workshop is designed for those considering a career in counselling. You will gain a solid understanding of the counselling profession. You will be able to apply for our Counselling-Introductions course and/or the full Level 2 qualification course upon completion.
There are no academic entry requirements for this workshop.
You will need to have Level 2 English skills in order to progress to the Level 2 qualification course.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, especially trainee or fully qualified counsellors seeking continuing professional development. Activities include presentations, Q&A, discussions, interactive pair and group work, and a brief practical session. There is no formal assessment, but active participation in your individual learning plan, group activities, and reflections is expected. You can progress to our Counselling-Introductions course and then the full Level 2 qualification course.
