Counselling as a Career (Workshop)

This workshop is designed for those who are considering a career in counselling. At the end of the session you will be able to apply for our Introduction to Counselling course and/or the full Level 2 qualification course.
This workshop is currently scheduled to be delivered online.

Course Content

This workshop will be of interest to you if you want to know more about what counselling is and what it involves. You learn about some of the fundamental aspects of counselling, the different environments in which counsellors work and how to progress your interest through further study. At the end of this course you will be able to apply to the 'Introduction to Counselling' course and then, if you wish to gain a qualification in this area, the full Level 2 qualification course.

You will be assessed by your tutor on your progress towards the learning outcomes for this
very short course.

Safety Information
We want to keep you safe while you are at RHACC and as such all on-site classes will have additional hygiene procedures in place, as per government guidelines. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

There are no academic entry requirements for this workshop. However, you will need to have Level 2
English skills in order to progress to the Level 2 qualification course.

First Class Requirements

You will need to be able to access online learning. You will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, or smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so please be ready and set up to join in.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.
If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
