David Blaikley

David qualified as a Barrister in 1985 but has spent most of his career as a Legal and Business Affairs Executive for UK and American media companies. Supervising legal and commercial aspects of film and television productions being made primarily in the UK, his duties included responsibility for compliance matters, industrial relations, skills development and safeguarding.
He has been a resident of the borough of Richmond-upon Thames for more than 20 years. Through time spent participating in courses at RHACC including Rock & Pop Guitar and CELTA teacher training, he gained enriching insight into the College's life and vibe, being especially struck by the high degree of inclusivity and related support that was being provided. It was these experiences which motivated him to want to contribute to sustaining the College's success through a role as an Independent Governor.
David joined the Board in July 2025 and is a member of the Audit Committee.
